- The Attwood Sahara Bilge Pump is a durable, compact, and easy to install automatic pump. This pump is a great option for tight spaces, containing everything in one package. It features a 316 stainless steel motor shaft for corrosion resistance and a durable high-impact, glass-filled polyester impeller. The base of the pump has quick, one-handed removal for easy cleaning. Pumps include 36" lengths of 16-gauge caulked and tinned copper wire and come with a 3 year manufacturer's warranty. The automatic-switch bilge pump is required for vessels 20’, especially those that accommodate overnight passengers and crew. The pump is mercury-free with a test knob for easy operational check and non-restrictive float movement. It also has a larger filter area to resist clogging and a free flow of water around the housing to keep the motor cool. The 316 Stainless Steel motor shaft provides saltwater corrosion resistance.
